homemade soft pretzals...

so iam on a baking kick and today i tried my hand at homemade pretzels. i am a huge pretzel lover and we go through a box of store bought pretzels in no time. They turned out great and were delicious. I paired mine with a steamy bowl of tomato soup for lunch. yum-yum.

Homemade Crusty Bread...

Decided to make some bread today on this "thought we were going to get some snow-ended up getting freezing rain-day" I followed this recipe. Now I just need to get the hubby to bring home some good EVOO. Yummy!!!

Happy New Year to All...2009

Ah, another year has passed and a new year begins. I think about new things, new possibilities, and the chance to start fresh. I am not one for New Year's Resolutions, but I do always like to set goals to accomplish throughout the year. So here are some of mine...what are yours??

• Learn to sew
• have a signature food dish
• cook a holiday meal...by myself
• get caught up on my scrapbooks

• potty train my 2 year old

Homemade Thank You Cards

The little ones received birthday gifts from my good friend Angela. I wanted to give her a little thank you card so I had the babies color on piece of paper that I taped around the paper and to the table/tray. Removed the tape after they were done scribbling and folded the paper in half to form a card. C-bear helped me write "Thank You" on each card.

Fall Time

Well, I am trying to get back in the swing of things and start blogging again. I thought I would share some pictures of the kids and family enjoying the fall season...which is our favorite.

Mini Candy Apples

I made this cute snack I found in Family Fun. It was my MOPS meeting and with the Adventures in Mothering theme we wanted to have carnivaly type foods at our meeting. I immediately remembered the mini candy apple recipe and knew that was the perfect thing for me to make. Super easy fun, even my Chef Husband was impressed!

Belated B-day

I am a little late with this birthday post, but my oldest and I celebrated our birthdays the other day. Yes, we share the same birthday. He was my best present I ever got. (minus labor and delivery) he! he!


Anyway, we celebrated again with our special birthday station (photos, baby book, t-shirt from hospital, cards...) So, since I was putting together his special things I decided to do a little photo collage of Me! as well.

Small toddler legs

That run and jump and climb

Scraped little knees

And a cute small behind

Tiny little toes

Perfect and all in a row
